Step Back in Time — Tour Yandoit’s Historic Stone Houses
Three generous Yandoit residents have opened the doors of their iconic stone houses for a special guided tour with Yandoit Cultural, as part of the Swiss Italian Festa.
Built by Swiss and Italian immigrants who settled in the region during the 1860s gold rush, these beautifully preserved homes tell the story of resilience, craftsmanship and community spirit. Join us to walk through history — and step straight into classic Italy, nestled in the heart of Yandoit.

Local historians will guide you through the stories of the families who built and lived in these remarkable stone homes. Transport between houses will be provided via mini buses, and we’ll finish back at Yandoit Cultural for afternoon tea and shared tales.
